Wedditions is part of IAS Solutions Ltd, a web design and computer consultancy who look after a number of business clients.  In 2007 we were asked to help out a couple who had been let down by their web designer.

At first we thought “a wedding website? How odd!”

But as the site developed, we immediately recognised what a useful tool it could be to a bride and groom in organising their wedding. By the time we’d delivered the site to a delighted client, we were convinced that we should do more of these.

By this time, we’d had the opportunity to study the competition. To our surprise, there were a number of providers offering websites based on templates – you choose which design out of a dozen or so and that’s exactly how your site will look….just like everyone else’s. No flexibility, no uniqueness. Many of the balance were what could only be called ‘talented amateurs’.

This seemed totally at odds with the way we worked. You are the client, after all, so shouldn’t you have a say in how your site should look? We got to work, quietly promoting our service.
